1920 American Indian dancer Car Hood Ornament
(Move down to see further photographs)
Fantastic Native American Indian dancer by A. Marionnet, standing on one leg, her arms outstretched, and her shawl draped loosely about her naked body. She wears a feathered head-dress, an ornate necklace and dancing shoes. Finished in silvered bronze and signed A.Marionnet with the full foundry stamping Depose, A.Marionnet, Bronzes, Paris, France to rear of the base. A wonderful subject, brilliantly executed by a true master of his craft. This is an unrecorded mascot of great style and beauty.
Dimensions : 195mm high.
Condition : Quite outstanding detail to the head-dress and shawl. Her face is exceptionally well defined and the condition is remarkable. This is the finest depiction of a Native American Indian Squaw mascot that it would ever be possible to obtain.
