Elephant emerging from Egg mascot attributed to Cardielhac. Sold exclusively through Robert Benoit, Bugatti agent, 46 Avenue Montaigne in Paris from 1920-1925. Heavy silvered bronze with full French inscription stampings 'L'Oeuf D'Elephant' to front of base, also with 'Depose' stamp to rear of base. Rare and an all time great piece. Photographed and described in Michel Legrand book 'Mascottes Automobiles' Plate 680.
