‘La Rafale’ by M. Guiraud Riviere. A wonderful study of a woman facing the wind, her cloak gathered around her and blowing behind her. Not only is the mascot the silver medal winner of the Journal L’Auto in 1922, but it is also very stylish, combining great sense of movement with true flair. It is exceptionally large, heavy and finished in nickel plated bronze. It is most certainly the finest of all Guiraud Riviere mascots. A true 'Work of Art'. Photographed and described in Michel Legrand book 'Mascottes Passion' Plate 13.
Dimensions : 220mm high, 215mm long.
Condition : Absolutely first class, amazing detail. Impossible to fault. Beautiful patination of 80 years.
