Sphinx bust with wings and deluxe ivory face by Sertorio, 1920, exceptionally rare mascot. This is the rarest of three different variations produced at the time, one in all nickel without wings, one with wings and all nickel, and this one, with wings and ivory face. The ivory has the fantastic patination that only use and age of 80 years will ever bring. Superb piece. (See 'Mascottes Automobiles' by LeGrand No. 293).

Condition :
Superb heavy nickel bronze example, signed to front R.Sertorio with Depose stamp. Exceptional original condition. Ivory has good old age stress lines, giving the piece great character. Not restored in any way. This is sold as a 100% original c.1920 mascot.
