An abstract Aerofoil crystal multi-faceted cut glass mascot, with script signature ‘Sabino France’ to the side. Still intact with its original silvered bronze mounting. Photographed in Giuseppe di Sirignano and David Sulzberger 'Car Mascots' Book, page 107, plate 201. Also photographed and described in the Sabino reference catalogue book by Philippe Decelle, 'Sabino - Catalogue Raisonne Sabino - Maitre Verrier D'l'Art Deco 1874-1961'. Originally priced at 196FF (French Francs) in the 1920's, this is the largest of all the Marius Ernest Sabino glass mascots produced at the time. This form encapsulates the most purest of the Art Deco styles. It is also the rarest of the range of 1920’s Sabino car mascots with just three examples believed to remain in existence today. Display base mounted.
